1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LiveChatAi (the "Service"), you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, have read and understood these Terms of Service ("Terms"), and agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. The Service
LiveChatAi provides an AI-powered live chat platform that allows website owners to embed a conversational widget on their websites, connecting visitors with AI models or human agents. The Service includes:
- A managed chat widget deployable via a code snippet or WordPress plugin
- A dashboard for configuring AI providers, viewing chat history, and managing agents
- Real-time messaging infrastructure via WebSocket connections
- Integration with third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Groq, etc.)
AI and Human Agent Handoff: By default, the AI model responds automatically to visitor messages. Once a human support agent sends a reply through the dashboard, the AI immediately stops generating responses for that session. From that point forward, all communication occurs directly and exclusively between the visitor and the human agent. This handoff is permanent for the duration of the session and cannot be reversed by the visitor.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Accounts
You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at support@live-chat.ai
- Not share your account credentials with any third party
You may not create accounts using automated methods or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Transmit spam, phishing messages, or malware
- Harass, abuse, or harm any person
- Collect personal information from minors without appropriate consent
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's source code
- Use automated scraping or bots to abuse the chat infrastructure
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in chat conversations
- Engage in any activity that disrupts or impairs the Service
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you submit through the Service ("Your Content"), including chat configurations, custom prompts, and conversation data.
By using the Service, you grant LiveChatAi a limited, non-exclusive licence to process Your Content solely to provide the Service. We do not use Your Content to train AI models or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for ensuring Your Content complies with all applicable laws, including data protection laws covering your website visitors.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by LiveChatAi and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
7. Billing & Plans
7.1 Free Plan
The Free plan is provided at no cost and includes the features listed on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to modify Free plan features at any time.
7.2 Pro Plan
The Pro plan is billed at $29 per year. Subscriptions auto-renew annually unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will receive a renewal reminder at least 7 days in advance.
7.3 Refunds
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscriptions. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
7.4 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to retry. If payment remains outstanding after 14 days, your account may be downgraded to the Free plan.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
AI-generated responses are produced by third-party models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. LiveChatAi does not warrant the accuracy of any AI output. You are responsible for reviewing AI responses before relying on them.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIVECHATAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) $50.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days except where retention is required by law.
Automatic chat-history deletion: All chat sessions and conversation history are permanently deleted after 6 months from the date of the last message, regardless of account status or plan. This process runs automatically every 24 hours. Deleted conversations cannot be recovered. If you require a record of any conversation, you must export or copy it before the 6-month period expires.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction, as agreed by both parties.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
